Meridian Gymnastics Club (MGC) Fees Information
The cost of joining the club is as follows: –
- Meridian Monthly Fees – cost according to level and length of class.
- Annual Meridian Gymnastics Membership – £25 is charged when joining between January-June, £10 if joining July-September & £5 if joining October-November. No charge for those joining in December.
- British Gymnastics Membership – £24 per year on a rolling basis around the year. This cost will be different if your gymnast is at competitive level.
- Eastern Region Membership – £2.50 due in September and charged by us automatically.
- MGC Badges – £5 every 10 weeks in GFA classes.
More information on the above can be found in our club handbook and all are compulsory parts of joining the club. Refunds for MGC Membership or first month of gymnastics session fees are not permitted under normal circumstances. All members must have British Gymnastics Membership/Insurance of £24 within 2 weeks of joining the club.
MGC Membership
These funds are used for equipment and staff training to improve the club throughout the year. The MGC Annual Membership payment will be taken automatically during the first week of January for all existing members. This will be taken from the card which you originally signed up with unless you change it during the year period.
MGC Membership fee does not have to be paid for a second time if you leave and re-join the club within a single calendar year and any child who leaves temporarily and re-joins within that year will go to the top of the waiting list for their class/level.
British Gymnastics Membership
BG Membership includes insurance for your gymnast within our facility and at any BG related event and is an essential and compulsory part of membership of MGC. BG Membership covers a child in multiple BG settings (eg a gymnastics and trampoline or acro class with BG membership themselves) and is transferable with the child. If after two weeks your gymnast does not have valid BG membership they may have to sit out of or miss their class. No fee reduction will be offered in this case. Membership/Insurance can be purchased here; if joining the club after the 15th of the month, we recommend doing your BG insurances on the 1st of the next month.

Class Subscription Information
Meridian Gymnastics Club runs weekly classes for 50 weeks of the year, excluding 2 weeks a year over the Christmas and Bank Holiday Mondays and Good Friday. We guarantee to provide classes for 48 weeks per year to allow for ‘emergency’ closures such as extreme ‘danger to life’ weather conditions or unexpected events (e.g. water or electricity cut off, drainage failures) in which case classes may not be replaced. We do not use these ‘emergency closure options’ to cover staff holiday/absence; in the unlikely event of these events affecting sessions, they will always be replaced.
Normal Open/Closure Times & Holidays
We ARE OPEN in half terms, Easter and Summer holidays and payments cannot be put on hold for these periods. It is currently not possible to swap to another session to accommodate absence from your normal session. This is due to coach: gymnast ratios as all classes operate at capacity.
Your monthly membership covers you for 50 (48) weeks of training throughout the year according to your class level e.g. 1 session per week for Foundation, Improvers & Intermediate or up to 4 sessions per week for squads.
The cost of 50 weeks of training is added together and divided over 12 months to create your monthly subscription and Bank Holidays are factored into these costs.
We are closed for a maximum of 2 weeks throughout the year at Christmas (You will be notified the exact dates nearer the time). We do not open on any Bank Holiday Monday or Good Friday.
Monthly recurring card payments will be taken from the members (parent/guardian) account on the 1st of every month for all members joining from August 2024. If you are joining midway through the month, the initial charge will vary on how many sessions are left in the month. Existing members (joined prior to August 2024) will continue to have their current payment date. Payments for squad members joining within the month will start from the day of joining and will run from that date.
MGC Badge Curriculum:
Participation in the MGC badge curriculum is mandatory for all MGC members in Foundation, Improvers and Mini Stars and is used optionally according to coach evaluation in Intermediate, Advanced and General Gymnastics.
